Free Games Radar: FNAF: Into the Pit and Bendy Free on Epic, REPO Free Weekend and STASIS on GOG

Epic Games Store: Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit + Bendy and the Ink Machine

Epic Games Store ended October with a double dose of horror. Bendy and the Ink Machine ($19.99) and Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit ($19.99) have been free since last week (October 30) and run until November 6.

Bendy and the Ink Machine — Developed and published by Joey Drew Studios, this is a first-person horror game set in the 1930s. You play as Henry Stein, who returns to the old Joey Drew Studios animation workshop to investigate what happened to his former colleagues. The abandoned studio is full of animated ink creatures and dark secrets. With a "Fair" rating on OpenCritic, the game stands out for its visual aesthetic inspired by old Disney cartoons and an oppressive atmosphere — "the kind of experience that will forever ruin your childhood love of cartoons," as the creators say. The PC version is free, with 61 achievements and controller support. The game holds 4.6/5 on the Epic Games Store and runs about 4-6 hours for the full campaign.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit — Adapted from the graphic novel by Elley Cooper and Scott Cawthon (original franchise creator), this is a pixel-art stealth platformer that puts Oswald — the Benny rabbit — at the center of the story. The game alternates between daytime levels (narrative) and nighttime levels (stealth and evasion). The mechanics are straightforward: run when seen, hide when hunted, survive when all hope seems lost. The game holds a 95% positive rating on Steam (5,139 reviews) and has been praised by the FNAF community as one of the best additions to the franchise in years. Developed by Mega Cat Studios and published by iam8bit, the title costs $19.99 and supports multiple languages including Brazilian Portuguese.

Steam: R.E.P.O. — Free Weekend with Monster Update

One of the biggest surprise hits of 2025 in horror games now has free access this weekend. R.E.P.O., developed by semiwork, is free to play until November 3 in celebration of the Monster Update (v0.3.0) — the game's second major update since its February launch.

R.E.P.O. is a cooperative stealth horror game for up to 6 online players. The premise is simple: enter dark, scary maps with friends (or alone) to collect valuable items and escape before the monsters catch you. The game stands out in the vast "Lethal Company-inspired" category for its frenetic pace, absurd humor, and innovative mechanics — including the now-famous "butt physics" that lets you slide and knock down enemies. With 96% positive reviews on Steam and peaks of 270,000 concurrent players, R.E.P.O. has established itself as one of the platform's most-played titles.

The Monster Update adds 10 new enemies, the Death Head Possession system (when you die, your head gets a battery that lets you possess living objects), Tumble Climb upgrades, 24 new valuable items, 20 new rooms in the Museum of Human Art, and Discord rich presence integration. During the free weekend, EVERYTHING is unlocked — including all Monster Update content — and progress can be carried over to the paid version (currently at 35% off for $6.49).

GOG: STASIS — Free Horror Point-and-Click to Keep Forever

GOG is giving away STASIS for free permanent download until November 3. This is one of the best horror point-and-click games in recent years, and unlike Steam's free weekend, here you earn the game forever.

STASIS is a sci-fi horror adventure in isometric perspective, originally released in 2015 by Legomino Games. The story takes place on an abandoned spaceship in a distant future: protagonist John Maracheck wakes from stasis and must uncover what happened to the crew while searching for his missing wife and daughter. The gameplay blends puzzle-solving with dark narrative, featuring an oppressive atmosphere inspired by Alien and System Shock. The game holds a "Very Positive" rating on Steam and is frequently cited as a forgotten gem of the genre. For horror game collectors, this is a golden opportunity — especially since STASIS was among the priciest titles in GOG's current offer, at an original price of €7.79.
