Epic Games Store — Sorry We's Closed (Oct 29 – Nov 5)
Epic Games Store has confirmed that Sorry We's Closed, the retro survival horror by à la mode games and published by Akupara Games, will be the next free title on the store, available from October 29 through November 5. The game retails for $24.99 and joins the Epic weekly giveaway lineup.
Sorry We's Closed is a single-player game that fuses 90s-style psychological terror with modern design. Set in a world where angels and demons collide, protagonist Michelle must use her "Third Eye" to shift between dimensions, solve puzzles, and survive. The game uses fixed camera angles (a Resident Evil classic) with arcade-style first-person combat — and includes optional tank controls for purists. With 4.5-star ratings on Epic and a critically acclaimed soundtrack, the game is currently on sale for $17.49 (30% off) during the store's Halloween Sale, which runs through November 2.
After the free period ends, anyone wanting to grab it will have to wait for a future sale. Unless Epic puts it on discount again, the next discount window will be at the best Halloween sale on the platform.

Steam — Phantom Line: Prologue (Oct 26, permanent)
Antistatic Studios has announced that Phantom Line: Prologue, the free introductory chapter of its paranormal tactical co-op FPS (1-4 players), hits Steam on October 26. The title is free-to-play forever.
Phantom Line is set in Europe at the dawn of a nuclear devastation. The player takes on the role of a secret operative working for the mysterious Mortfield Industries, investigating a research facility that went dark in the "Iron Corridor" — an Eastern European region caught between international tensions and paranormal activity. The prologue includes a tutorial, the first story mission, and access to the operations base.
The developers are industry veterans who have worked on Gears of War, BioShock, Conan Exiles, Arma, Squad, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior. The prologue features redesigned combat with new firing modes, tactical reloads, jamming mechanics, and improved ballistic effects, plus a revamped humanoid AI and completely redesigned UI. The full game is slated for release in 2027.

Xbox Game Pass — FF7 Remake Intergrade on Oct 29
Xbox Game Pass's October wave arrives with one AAA heavyweight: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade comes on October 29 to Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass. The game is the enhanced version of the 1997 classic, with remastered graphics, hybrid combat system (real-time action + strategic commands), and additional story elements that complete the original narrative up to the Midgar escape.
The same wave includes The Séance of Blake Manor (October 27), a supernatural detective mystery; Scramble Knights Online (October 26, Game Preview); and Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted and Terrible Lizards (October 29).
Watch for departures: on October 31, nine games leave the catalog, including three Lucasarts classics (Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Full Throttle Remastered, Grim Fandango Remastered), Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Wartales, Wildgate, Dead Static Drive, and Deep Rock Galactic. Anyone wanting to play these should jump in before the date — especially LEGO Star Wars, which is a long game.
