Free Games Radar: 11 Surprise Games on Epic, Sorry We's Closed, FM27 Free Weekend and A New Beginning on GOG

Epic Games Store: 11 Surprise Games + Sorry We's Closed + Galaxy Kart

The Epic Games Store surprised players at the start of November with a batch of 11 independent games all available completely free for limited periods — each with its own deadline, though most expire around November 8–9. These are separate promotions organized by the publishers themselves, not part of the regular weekly freebies program. The catch: these are games you wouldn't normally see in the storefront's main feed, spanning genres from adventure and racing to puzzle and RPG.

Highlights include Epic World - Hunt For Quest (a fantasy adventure with 25 levels, 8 playable characters, collectible coins and monsters to defeat), Funtoon's World (a colorful adventure platformer with 25 levels), and Horror Adventure (a first-person horror experience with dark corridors and frightening encounters). The combined retail value of these 11 titles could exceed $80 USD when you add up their original prices.

Meanwhile, the regular weekly freebie continues with Sorry We's Closed ($24.99) — a first-person survival horror game with fixed cameras, arcade-style combat and resource management. You play as Michelle, a shopkeeper trapped between the human world and a demon realm. The Angelic Third Eye ability adds a unique narrative layer with multiple endings and New Game+ for replay. The offer runs until November 5 at 16:00 UTC.

The mobile game Galaxy Kart (arcade kart racing with character abilities, power-ups and online multiplayer) is also free until November 5.

Steam Free Weekend: Football Manager 27

The Football Manager 27 Launch Preview is free to play until November 3 at 18:00 UTC (10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM CT). The free preview is available via Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass.

FM27 is the latest entry in Sports Interactive and SEGA's long-running football management simulation series. You choose a club, build the squad, decide on training and make tactical adjustments during matches. This year introduces an improved Tactical Effectiveness system, more in-game strategy adjustment opportunities, enhanced stadiums and crowd visuals, and improved player animations. The new Shuffle Draft mode offers fast-paced multiplayer action.

Note: the free preview does NOT add the game to your permanent library. When the preview period expires, access ends unless you purchase the full title, which launches officially on November 10 for $59.99. PC Game Pass subscribers can upgrade from preview to full version without starting over.

The preview version may contain some information still under rights-holder approval, so club and player data may still be absent. Save progress carries over to the full release.

This is a record Saturday for free games: beyond the 11 surprise titles on Epic (unprecedented in scale), we have two free-to-keep offers expiring TODAY (Asleep and A New Beginning), the FM27 Free Weekend opening a free preview window and the weekly Sorry We's Closed offering fixed-camera horror. If you could only claim one, the 11-game Epic bundle is the headline pick — even if only half of those titles catch your attention, the cumulative value is substantial.
